Day 4 - Something's not right.

I continually amaze myself at the ability to be late in writing the devlogs. I'm even later in writing this entry than Voxelate, which surely is a sign that something is not right.

The liquidity of time is a shocking thing, but it's fine. I am making progress -perhaps not as much as I had hoped or expected- but it is happening.

I have at various stages encouraged Voxelate to keep his approach to implementing features simple, he is unstoppable, so work on the weapon system continues for him.

Ah yes, that's right. This entry is about what I have done, not what I haven't. The focus of today's work was finishing the generation of creatures, their descriptions, and stat blocks. By writing a simple data structure, I can now generate creatures of virtually any configurations and descriptions (weighted tables control the likelyhood of a particularly exotic physical attribute being generated).  Here are a couple of humanoid examples:

He is male. He has ruddy hairy skin. He is huge in size.
He has a:
Left Eye Right Eye Mouth Melded Left Ear Melded Right Ear Nose Rubbery Left Arm Right Arm Table Left Leg Right Leg

or

She is female. She has dark smooth skin. She is minuscule in size. She has a: Liquid Left Eye Runny Right Eye Runny Mouth Liquid Left Ear Liquid Right Ear Overlong Nose Overlong Left Arm Rubbery Right Arm Left Leg Right Leg

or

It is indeterminate. It has pale hairy skin. It is average in size.
It has a:
Skull Left Eye
Closed Right Eye
Mouth
Liquid Left Ear
Right Ear
Rubbery Nose
Rubbery Left Arm
Overlong Right Arm
Table Left Leg
Table Right Leg

Some of these adjectives might be surprising (and nonsensical) but points if you can name the references.
