Day 4 - One of these things is not like the other.

Development today really couldn't have gone any better - the code was flowing from the fingertips, like molten cheese flows from the precipice of a cinema nacho.

Not really.

There was gnashing of teeth, and wailing of wailers. But, as always, the frustrations were surmounted by the indomitable human spirit. The fact that this devlog is so delayed would have nothing to do with that, I'm sure. My teammate even managed to publish his before mine - the horror! In recompense, I've added an extra gif. Lucky you.



I'm not even pretending any more. They're just lies I told yesterday :


WAIT WHAT


• more of the mixtape? BOOM. More of the mixtape.
• item generation? HALF-BOOM. Inventory infrastructure in place.
• combat? Statlines have been integrated, attack animations for combatants added, combat logic needed next. QUARTER-BOOM!

What else I got done:
• added visual indicator for which point of interaction is in focus.
• no powernaps. :(
• extra servings of coffee to help though!
• dudes can have jobs now. Their appearance is supplemented by garments to indicate their profession.
• produced a variety of extra graphics.

• more graphics.
• more music.
• more code.
